This is an experiment. An experiment of the "I" and a new way to get our stories read and heard.
For too long, our stories have been heard once on the radio and then dissolved into air.
For too long, our writings have lain in wait in our dusty drawers or overloaded hard drives.
Stories1st.org welcomes the personal narrative told in literary and audio art form. Carefully constructed words and sounds in a complex and white noise world.
Our debut of October 11, 2001 was chosen to address recent events.
The debut edition featured stories and audio pieces about the Landscape of Loss and Hope.
Since then our themes have been Acts of Peace Heart of Nature and Arts and Healing.
Take part in this experiment by responding to what you read and hear.
We are adding guest artists complete with discusion boards where you get to ask questions. Our goal is to make a new venue to air audio programs and a place for writers, artists and producers to meet to disucss their work.
